Elite (sometimes referred to as Noble or Type 1) Shungite has a distinctive silver metallic appearance. Only about 1% of Shungite that is mined has the amount of carbon (up to 98%) in it to be called Elite. The atomic structure of Elite does not allow for it to be carved or shaped, so you will only find it in its natural raw shape. You will often find other minerals infused into it.

To keep your Shungite product looking at its best it is recommended to use warm soapy water to clean it and then leave in the sun for a few hours to dry out completely. As Shungite never takes on a negative charge, there is nothing else required, making it an easy care product.
